A girl with no name 无名女郎 (part 9)

Hi everybody. Without further ado, I shall unroll out part 9! Thank you for your comments for part 8. Well, no worries, there would be more of parts like part 8 in the last few parts of this story. How many parts are there in the story? That is a secret!

The story clings on....

As my thoughts entangled to one another, I felt drowsy as I tried to lean forward to get up but to no avail. After a few attempts, I surrendered and just sat there. I felt that my left lower arm was a bit numb as I rested sitting down on the toilet seat. As the trains of my thoughts travelled to the past, I thought of the happy times between George and I and further back into the past when my parents and I were out to watch the sunset on a weekend. The thoughts seemed to have drained out of my brain through a large sieve and I blacked out as I slumped at the toilet seat.

As I was repeatedly shaken up, I woke up from a deep stupor. My eyes gradually opened as I saw a figure close to me. As I opened my eyes wider, that figure belonged to Belinda.

“Are you alright? You have been inside the toilet for nearly an hour. I tried to call you but I couldn’t hear any response so I unlocked the toilet door and I saw you …..” Belinda seemed terrified as I could not find the reason why her reaction was exaggerated.

As I raised my left arm to try to push her away, I did not know that near to my left wrist, it was bandaged crudely with toilet paper. I could see traces of blood on the toilet paper.

“Sorry that I have scolded you earlier, but you need not have to commit suicide. You were bleeding from your left arm, so I quickly bandaged it with toilet paper beside you. Why must you do such a thing? You scared me a lot just now,” Belinda almost burst into tears as she explained what had happened.

At first I was confused, but I realised that I might have accidentally cut myself without realizing it as I was too deep in my thoughts.

“Thanks, can you leave me alone?” I turned away not wanting to look at Belinda.

“I saved your life and now you are trying to push me away? Sister, …” Belinda’s words were interrupted as I tried to stand up and point my finger to the door.

As I stood up, I felt dizzy. As I tried to put my hand on the basin to support myself, my hand missed the basin as I almost fell off. Belinda was in time to catch hold of me. She supported me to the bedroom and helped me onto the bed.

“I did not mean to cut myself. It was unintentional, but I have to thank you a lot for saving me, if not I would not have known what could have happen,” I admitted the truth as I showed my gratitude towards Belinda.

“Go to sleep, sister,” Belinda smiled slightly as she pat my shoulders.

“Why did you commit suicide? Are you alright?” I was rudely woken up by Kelly as I was shaken repeatedly by her.

“I did not. Who told you so?” I denied flatly.

“Word was going around about what happened to you. I just overheard from Bing Bing and her dance partners. If you have any problems, you could have just come to me. Sister, do you know how worried I was when I heard about the news,” Kelly seemed to be worked up as she grabbed my right hand.

“There is a cut on your left wrist. Sister, don’t deny. You have always been looking out for us but we do not really know much about how you feel and think,” Kelly exclaimed as she glanced at my left wrist.

“It is accidental. Wait, I am going to find Belinda,” my face was flushed red with anger.

As Belinda came out of the bathroom, I went up to her and just stood in front of her, blocking her from walking any further. She was puzzled by my actions.

“Why do you go around telling people that I commit suicide? Very good, now everybody knows. What else did you tell them?” I questioned her in a harsh tone.

“I really did not tell anybody! I do not even know why everybody knows about it,” Belinda looked bewildered as her eyes seemed to show that she was innocent.

As Bing Bing walked past us, she let out a giggle.

“You two lesbians really can make a loving couple,” Bing Bing’s cheeky remarks sent my anger to the roof.

“You not only told everybody I committed suicide, now you tell everybody about us being lesbians. That night in the living room, you tried to be intimate to me. I am not your….your lover,” I was trying to find an appropriate word to finish the statement.

“I really did not, sister. I care so much for you, why would I be the one telling everybody,” Belinda cried out loud as she denied all of my accusations on her.

“Forget it. I am not going to talk to you. We have to get ready for work. It’s getting late,” I looked at the clock as I did not want to hear anymore from this woman.

“Bing Bing, although you may be one of the more popular dancers in your group, I hope you do not be too arrogant. You do not really show your sincerity and appreciation to some of your customers, that I know,” I retorted at Bing Bing.

My words fell on deaf ears as she gave me a scornful look and walked away. Just then, Belinda blurted out something immediately after I have finished with my criticisms on Bing Bing but her words came as noise to my eardrums.

“Please do not let this incident affect our performance tonight. Its very important,” Kelly reminded me as I nodded slightly.

Throughout the night, I ignored Belinda as much as possible as I accompanied Carol and Kelly with some of my long-time customers. It was only when we danced together that I had to force a smile when Belinda was beside me in our dance performance.

“Hi, how are you doing?” Alex’s voice came from my right.

“I am fine. What about yourself?” I was surprised to see Alex.

As we talked briefly, I indicated to him that I had to go to other tables. As I was walking around, I pondered. Would he be wondering why I am so cold to him? Would he get the wrong idea? I brushed off the thoughts as my mind got back on track to concentrate on my work.

“Thank you, sister. Mr. Fang is quite happy about my work performance so far. I am really grateful that you have helped me. But, I do hope that you can also help Belinda too. She is slowly going back to her old habits of just hanging around the same old few tables. Belinda is my buddy. I do not want her to be transferred to another place or she has to go back to Taiwan,” Carol expressed her concern as we were walking home.

“I would see what I can do,” my statement seemed to be redundant as I tried to suppress my anger on hearing that name.

As days go by, although the matter had died down, I still did not forgive Belinda. Although I had this intuition that Belinda was not the one who had spread the rumours, I did not bother to investigate as I would not know who else would know except for her and me.

“Chris, I would like to know whether you could come around six in the evening to advise us on our new dance performance?” I gave Chris a call in the afternoon when I woke up.

I was delighted when he agreed willingly and I informed the rest to prepare early for the rehearsal.

As we started our rehearsal, we tried out some new dance moves. Chris was a brilliant teacher, he not only helped us improve our co-ordinates but also reinvented some new moves to add on or change our current dance moves.

“Its brilliant, it’s much better than the original one,” Carol smiled with satisfaction as the video recording of our dance was played.

“Thank you, Chris for helping us,” Carol put his arm around his shoulder as she gave him a light peck on his cheek.

“Lets cheers to Chris,” Kelly added on as she served the drinks and gave each a drinking glass.

I laughed a little as it was obvious that Carol had a slight interest in Chris and I could see it in her eyes every time she saw him, but little did she realise what I had discovered on the first day when I saw him in our workplace.

As the night progressed, Kelly was on her own as I brought Carol around to almost every table. Carol’s flirtatious character did pay off as more and more customers liked her as compared to when she first came to work. She was drinking a lot too as I tried my hard to limit myself from drinking too much. At certain times, when she lost control and got drunk, we had to carry her back. I was afraid that day could also have the same outcome.

As I looked at the corner of my eye, I spotted Belinda with some of the regular customers that she normally sat at. I felt confused to whether I should end the cold war with her. Other than the brief instructions for the dance moves, I had not talked to her since the last time during our confrontation near the bathroom. I did not want to think too much as I went around entertaining other customers.

“Vanessa, come take a picture of me and Chris,” Carol stammered a little as her arms were all around Chris.

As she pushed her camera phone into my hands, I knew that Carol was a bit drunk. As Carol posed for a picture with Chris, I could not help laughing as Chris was making a funny face while Carol was giving a seductive pose with her tongue sticking out.

“You all are having fun taking pictures with Chris, I also want to take too,” Kelly came from nowhere as she seemed high too.

As the three of them posed for a few shots, I shook my head as I looked at them acting foolish in front of me. After the shots were taken, Carol was too busy with Chris as she seemed to be leaning her whole body against his.

“I want to take a look,” Kelly snatched the phone from me as she went to the gallery section to see.

As I was looking simultaneously to see, I could see an overall view of all the pictures and videos that she had taken in her gallery window. I spotted something familiar at the bottom right of her phone before Kelly enlarged some of the pictures for us to take a look.

“You look so silly,” Kelly laughed at Carol’s direction as she spotted her finger at Carol.

“I also want to take a look too,” I snatched the phone, but my motive was not to just look at the pictures that we had taken but also to scan to the picture that I spotted earlier.

As Carol was too busy with Chris and Kelly walked away, I silently slipped away into the toilet with her phone. As I went to the gallery to scan through the videos, I saw one video which seemed like it was taken at the staircase with Belinda and me at that night when we were intimate! I could not believe my eyes as she had filmed the whole incident without us noticing. As I scanned through her photos and other unimportant videos to me, I spotted a brief video of Belinda dressing up my wound and trying to wake me up and the video was abruptly stopped. Thoughts from all directions came like bullet trains through my brain system. If Belinda was right about her claim, it was possible that Carol might be behind it to make me dislike Belinda. Why would she want me to do that? I had to find out the truth.

As I went to the toilet, I remained calm as I saw Carol still with Chris. They were busy chatting as Carol’s hands were all over Chris. I stifled my laughter as I put the phone discreetly on the table without any one of them noticing me doing that. As I sneaked away, I looked at Carol and I gave a brief angry look at her. She would get it from me some day, but I could not let the cat out of the bag as yet. The time was not right.

As Belinda was sitting on one of the tables with Marcus and his friends, I went over and sat beside Belinda, but I pretended to ignore her. Marcus and Alan were the few customers whom I really enjoy to be with. They really made me feel as if I was not working and it felt as if I was having a night out with friends. I could feel that Belinda was enjoying herself but she did not even dare to utter a word to me even though we had eye contact.

As Carol and I walked home, Carol seemed to feel uneasy.

“Is there anything wrong with you?” I looked at Carol being concerned for her as natural as possible.

“Actually, after when you took photos with Chris and me, I want to admit something to you Vanessa, but I do not dare to. I am afraid that you would scold me,” Carol’s voice seemed to go down a few decibels at the end of her statement as compared to the beginning.

--The end--

What do you think Carol is going to tell Vanessa?

A girl with no name 无名女郎 (part 8)

hi everybody. This time round I shall keep it short and just let the story roll out. (very tired when i am posting it up). Hope you all enjoy especially somebody. haha

The story continues to sizzle...

As I closed my eyes, I felt a presence coming closer towards me. As I felt tired, I did not bother. I did not even know whether the car had moved or not but I could feel a slow rhythmic heavy breathing very near me. I smiled to myself as I waited in anticipation to what would be next from a man whom I have almost total trust. Perhaps, I could say someone whom I had begun to like a little.

As I opened my eyes abruptly, I could see that his face was quite close to mine as he was leaning over from his seat to mine. He was taken aback at that moment.

“Yes?” I gave Alex a curious look.

“Can I…” Alex seemed to be tongue-tied and at the next moment, our lips were engaged to each other.

I did not have time to react as I was caught by surprise. The kiss felt magical somewhat although I did not know him very well. After a few seconds, my lips unlocked from his without any reason as I pushed him slightly away.

“I did not know why I did that. I hope I did not offend…” Alex sounded apologetic as he stammered a bit as he sat back onto his seat.

Before he could finish his statement, I leaned over to his seat and I gently caress his face as I took the initiative to kiss his cheeks as my lips slowly moved to his lips. My hand went to the side of the seat and made his seat incline backwards.

“You purposely asked me to adjust your seat right?” he asked cheekily.

I put my finger on his lips as I gave a mischievous smile. As his big hands held my waist, I could feel that they were slowly moving up. As my off shoulder top slipped off more to one side, my inhibition was almost gone as my kisses roamed from his neck to his lips. He seemed to be bolder as his hands went inside my top as his warm hands greeted my bare flesh from my stomach up to near my chest.

“What are you going to do to me?” my words came out softly into his ears when I slowly nibbled his ears as his fingers was touching the edges of my bra.

I breathed harder as I felt a tingle of nervousness down my spine. I did not know what to expect, I did not know what he was thinking. The trains of thoughts that meandered around the nerves of my brain seemed to be empty as my mind went to an eventual blank.

As my eyes rolled from left to right, I looked at the both corners of my eyes to see if there was anybody around. He parked at quite a secluded spot away from the hawker centre. The street light nearest to the car had blown too.

I literally almost climbed over to his seat as I was on top of him. As my inhibitions were totally shredded off, I could not resist but to touch his shoulders down to his torso. His hands were all over me, his touches were gentle and tickled me at times. His kisses were light pecks as they moved slowly downwards to near my cleavage. My eyes came to a near close as I let out a slight moan when he touched my womanly curves momentarily. As I went down to kiss his neck, my mobile phone rang. I totally ignored it as I carried on, the momentum of our passion was fueled by how well we understood and how we felt for each other.

“Sorry, I think this call is important,” I apologized as the incessant ringing of the mobile phone was too much of a distraction.

As I went back to my seat to get my phone from my bag, it was from my workplace. I looked at the watch, it was already past one in the morning.

“Alex, I have to go back to my workplace. Can you fetch me there now?” my request was replied with a nod.

As he was about to drive off, his hands started to adjust my top, as I did not realise that a significant part of my bra was revealed as part of my top slipped further down my shoulder to my arm. I was too embarrassed to even thank him.

In contrast to the journey towards the eating place, we felt a bit awkward when he drove me to my workplace. I did not know why I had done such a thing at that moment with a man whom I barely knew. He did not say a word too. As I stole glances at him, he seemed to be deep in thought as his eyes were focused on the road.

At the traffic junction, the traffic light was red. His left hand went over to grab mine. His monotonous look broke into a smile as I returned it back. My fingers spread out a little as his fingers went between mine.

“Sometimes when I see you staring at a certain direction, your eyes tell me that your brain is wandering off somewhere. Then suddenly, you would like smile for few seconds, and then at another moment, you would just give an expressionless look. I am curious what goes through your head,” the silence in the car was finally broken down after almost ten minutes as he turned to look at me.

I was quite surprised by Alex’s comments. He was spot on to a habit that I normally had in my workplace.

“You are really sharp although you don’t come to my workplace that often,” I was impressed by his observation as I tried to avoid his question.

“Maybe if we get to meet each other more often, I would let you know more about me. Don’t worry, Alex, I would allow that chance for us to meet and talk more if we can. In the mean time, I really thanked you for bringing me to a nice place to eat. I really enjoy your company,” I touched his face as I tap on his arm and left when we reached my workplace.

As I went up to my workplace to settle some stuff, Kelly came over as she greeted me.
“Where did you go?” Kelly asked candidly.

“Nowhere, I just went to see my mother,” I lied through my teeth not wanting Kelly to know too much.

Kelly shrugged as she went about to talk to some customers.

“Hi Vanessa, how are you?” Belinda came from nowhere with a random question.

“I am fine,” I gave an awkward smile as the incident involving the both of us was still fresh in my mind.

Belinda acted strangely as she just walked away without saying a word.

“You don’t seem alright,” I caught Belinda’s hand just in time.

Belinda turned around as she stared at me. I signaled to her to go out of the workplace.

“What’s wrong with you?” I questioned Belinda out of concern as we were alone at the staircase.

“Nothing happened,” her nonchalant reply did not convince me.

“I have forgiven you on what happened that day,” I tried my luck to think what was wrong with her.

“Sister, you seemed to be entombed in a block of ice. On the surface, you are so cold towards people. To your customers, you may be entertaining and fun to hang out with but you are cold towards a few whom really like you. They are really nice, eligible bachelors. How I wish I can have such men who are attracted to you. But they only like you, not me. When I finally melted your last layer of ice at the living room, I knew you were not like that. I could feel the warmth and concern that you could give to others. I know you cared for me as a sister a lot. I know that you have done a lot for me, but you are so cold towards me when I want to show you my concern to you, I…” her endless words irritated me again.

“Enough, have you said enough? I come here is not for you to lecture me to what I should do and what I should not do,” I rebuked as my blood was starting to boil.

“Sister, you can bluff yourself and everybody else but you cannot bluff me. I could tell that deep inside you, you are a person who yearns for someone to care for and concern about you. Your mind was as confused as I was at that point of time in the living room,” Belinda’s words seemed to hit the bull eye of my heart.

“I have to go back to the workplace, you take care of yourself, sister,” Belinda concluded as I was speechless.

As I neared home, my mind seemed to wander off as my pace dropped a notch. The brief exchange of words between Belinda and I, the incident between Belinda and I on that night to what happened just now at East coast with Alex. I did not know why so many incidents happened over a short period of time. I did not know how to react as I linked the recent events to that of the past.

“I did not know that you had settled your stuff in your workplace that fast. When I was about to leave this area, I realised I forgot to pass to you something so I stopped by your home and waited for you,” I was surprised to see that Alex was outside my home as I did not even notice from a far until when he was just about a metre away from me. I must have been so deep in thought that I did not notice.

“Oh. Thank you,” I thanked him as he pushed a wrapped gift into my hands.

“You look troubled, were there any problems in the workplace just now?” Alex seemed to be concerned.

“No, I am alright. You have an early rest ok? I don’t want you to stay up too late,” My response was natural as Alex looked tired.

As I put the gift in my hand bag, I turned and was about to open the gate. When I stretched out my hand to reach for the doorknob, Alex grabbed my arm as he turned me around.

“I like you,” Alex blurted out as he gave me a peck on the cheek.

“I hope that the incident in the car did not make you feel so. You are a nice guy, I think you can find someone who has good qualities in this country,” I gave him a cold answer as I turned around and opened the gate.

As I closed the gate, I did not dare to look at him and I did not want to bother about how he reacted as I whispered a goodbye before closing the door behind me.

As I looked at the mirror in the bathroom, I crumpled down to the toilet seat. As I started to cry, I did not know the reason why I cried. Was it Belinda’s words that were spot on? Was it Alex’s confession that I simply just chuck it aside?

As my thoughts entangled to one another, I felt drowsy as I tried to lean forward to get up but to no avail. After a few attempts, I surrendered and just sat there. I felt that my left lower arm was a bit numb as I rested sitting down on the toilet seat. As the trains of my thoughts travelled to the past, I thought of the happy times between George and I and further back into the past when my parents and I were out to watch the sunset on a weekend. The thoughts seemed to have drained out of my brain through a large sieve and I blacked out as I slumped at the toilet seat…

What happened to Vanessa? Look out in part 9!

A girl with no name 无名女郎 (part 7)

Hi there. I really want to thank all for your critical comments. So far hearing from the ladies, they kinda like part 1. One of my readers really liked the intensity of what is happening in part 5 and some just felt that the other parts were alittle too unexciting. well, part 7 is a little up tempo on the mood with respect to part 6. I hope that you all pay very great attention to the first part of part 7. Hope you all get the full meaning what the first part of part 7 is trying to portay. Well, as for the second part of part 7, really challenging seriously. He is a lucky man indeed. Without further delay.....

the story "explodes" out...

“Vanessa, can we go to the living room to talk?” I came out of the bathroom as Belinda was standing at the corridor. She looked a bit drunk as she stammered a little.

I was in my bathrobe and I decided not to change. She swayed a little to the left and right as I took her arm and we walked down the stairs. As we sat at the table, the room was very dark as everybody else was asleep.

“Why don’t you switch on the lights?” I asked as Belinda walked past the switches.

Belinda led my hand and we sat down. My hips almost knocked on the corner of the table as I could barely make out the silhouette of the furniture in the room as my eyes started to adjust to the darkness.

Belinda showed me the short message from her phone. The only source of light came from her phone.

“My ex boyfriend send a message to me again. He wants me to go back to Taiwan to see him once I have finished my work in here. He still misses me after so long. Remember I told you that we were together during our university days. He is the same guy,” Belinda’s voice was hardly audible.

Belinda tugged on my robe as she hugged me.

“We have been communicating ever since we broke up. I do not know why but I still cannot forget him after so long even though he hurt me so badly. When I came here to work, I thought I could forget him, but it seemed that it is not the case,” Belinda continued as she rested her head on my shoulder.

“Thank you for taking care of me all these while, I really admire you. You are like my elder sister to me. You have helped me to cope with a new life in here. But as you know when he sent this message to me to get back together, I feel confused. I do not know what to do. Sister, only you can help me,” Belinda whispered into my ears as she was still hugging me.

As Belinda let go of me, I felt my bathrobe was a bit loose. Belinda began to pull the bathrobe slightly off my right shoulder as she started to kiss my lips. I did not know whether it was shock or it was that yearn for intimacy that I craved for so long that I did not resist at all. I felt I was in my own world where I chose to be ignorant of the owner of the lips that was touching mine. Upon my reciprocation of my interaction of my lips against hers, she took out her lips from mine as she started to kiss my neck. That world that I was in seemed to be slowly disappearing as she started to put her whole body on me. Her strong limbs made me even slower to react as she kissed my shoulder and her hands went into my robe as the warmth of her hands greeted my bare flesh.
“Stop, what are you doing, Belinda?” I pushed her away, as I realised the sash around my waist was already untied. I raised my hand, wanting to slap her.

“I am sorry big sister. I do not know how to express myself to you. I just wanted to be close to you. I am in the wrong, I should not do such a thing to you. I am sorry. Forgive me please. I have lost confidence in relationships with men. I don’t know what to do. I am just plain confused,” Belinda cried on my shoulder as she hugged me tightly.

“Don’t tell me, you want to have a relationship with a woman then? You are attractive. You have a very considerate character. I believe you can find a good man in the future when you go back to Taiwan. Forget about this man. He is just screwing your life,” I retorted at her.

“You are more attractive than me, but you seemed to be giving a cold shoulder to even some good looking men in the workplace. I do not know if you really do get attracted to men in the first place. But I do apologise once again for my rash actions,” her outrageous excuse seemed to be impromptu but it was punctuated with an apology which calmed me down a little.

“I think I would go upstairs to retire to bed,” I felt embarrassed as I tied back the sash around my waist and looked away from her. It was lucky that the darkness hid my embarrassment.

As the days passed, it was finally my off-day, Monday. When I woke up at around three in the afternoon, I scanned through the unread messages. There were about twenty over of them. Everyday, I would receive an occasional message to ask me to sleep with a customer and sometimes dirty messages about how they fantasise about me or how good my figure was. They kind of freaked me out. As I slowly deleted them, I finally saw Alex’s message.

“Are you free today to go out? I just want to confirm that’s all. You can make it at five in the evening then?” his message wrote.

I sent a positive reply as I went about to tidy up my wardrobe. I wondered what I should wear for today’s date.

I chose a black off shoulder top and a pair of denim blue jeans. I smiled as I felt good in this attire. It seemed to be a long time since I had worn them. At first I felt paranoid that I would not be able to wear it, but I realised that I had not put on any weight since I last left Singapore for Taiwan quite some time ago.

As I put on my make-up and admired myself in front of the mirror, I did not realise that it was already nearly five in the evening.

“Hi Vanessa, I am downstairs already. Are you ready?” Alex was on the other line when I picked up the phone.
“I would come down in 5 minutes time,” I replied as I looked at the mirror once again.

I saw Alex leaning against the door of his vehicle as I stepped out of the home. When he saw me, he seemed to be a bit stunned.

“What’s wrong?” I suddenly felt a bit self-conscious as I looked down to inspect my clothing.

“Nothing is wrong. It’s because you look different during the daytime. It’s the first time I see you under the day light since I always see you in your workplace at night,” Alex’s reply came with a grin.

As he drove, we talked quite a lot. We talked about everything under the sun. From good places to eat in Taiwan to our favourite sports, he seemed to know quite a little bit of Taiwan.

“What do you like to eat?” Alex glanced at me shortly

“As long as its good to eat, anywhere would be fine,” I gave a casual answer wondering where he would bring me.

As he showed me around the various places while driving, there were quite a few places that I had never been seen before. Although Singapore is small as compared to Taiwan, it seemed big while travelling around in the country.

As we went near to the beach, I saw a lot of different stalls selling all kinds of food. The aroma seemed to tempt me to just try the food from all the stalls.

“This is East Coast, this hawker centre has many nice local food,” Alex introduced me to this place.

As we sat nearer to the beach, we went around the different stalls and ordered some food. As we tucked in, I realised that the food was really delicious. Many customers brought me to air-conditioned restaurants to eat, but I liked it here. The food was cheap and even tasted better than those that I ate with my customers previously. The crisp sea breeze was refreshing too.

“I believed nobody has brought you here or in this kind of environment to have dinner,” Alex seemed to read my mind as his words interrupted my thoughts.

I smiled as I stick out of my tongue a little. On the table, there was braised duck, fried noodles, satay and fried carrot cake. I could only nibble a bit of everything except that I could not resist the fried carrot cake as I finished most of it. But Alex could really eat a lot. He could finish the rest of the food on the table. As he was busy eating, I could not help but giggle a little. Luckily, he did not notice. As our hands reached out to grab the last satay stick, I accidentally grabbed onto his hand. At that moment, my faced turned a little red with embarrassment.
“Take it. I know you like satay too,” he put it on the plate as I thanked him.

As I nibbled on it, I did not notice that he was looking at me. I gave him a weird look as I turned away my head and not to face him. I smiled a little as I wondered why he was looking at me for.

As we took a stroll on the beach, the sunset was really beautiful as it seemed to be the highlight of the whole scenery.

“I remember back in Taiwan, when my father was around, my father would bring my mother and I out on a weekend and have a nice meal by the beach and enjoy the sunset at the same time,” I looked in the direction of where the sun was setting as I spoke out my mind.

“Now that my father is not around, I would sit by the window to look at the sunset whenever I have the chance to,” I continued as I looked down on the ground.

“Vanessa, sorry to hear about that, I believe you are a capable woman and your mother would be proud to have a daughter like you,” Alex finally spoke after he was silent for quite a while.

As we sat down on the bench, there was an awkward silence as we just stared at the direction, looking at the sun going below the horizon.

“You know the very first day when I saw you, you really gave me a lasting impression. Very few ladies can give me this kind of impression in my life,” the silence was broken as his confession rolled out.

“I believe you are the ace card in your workplace due to your good looks, performance and charisma. I really feel privileged to be able to ask you out on your off-day,” he continued as I felt pleased by his remarks.

“Everyone in there is ace cards in my workplace. It’s not just me. I have met my fair share of customers who are very lecherous but I met a few who are good-natured. I believe you are one of these few,” I replied humbly as I gave a comment about him.

As we talked more, I really felt comfortable talking to him. It was a long time since I had that kind of feeling. Time flew very fast as it was already past eleven at night.

“Thanks for everything, but I have to go back to my workplace for a while. I really enjoyed myself,” I beamed at Alex as I pat him on the shoulder.

As we approached the car, I felt tired and a little sleepy.

“Could you help me adjust the inclination of the seat? I want the seat to incline backwards, I just want to rest a while,” I requested.

“It’s on the left hand side of your seat. Do you know how to adjust?” Alex looked over from the driver’s seat.

“I do not know how. I do not want to spoil your car,” my answer seemed to be candid but seemed to sound foolish in his ears.

“You can just help me a bit? Its ok really,” he seemed to be thinking about what is the best way to go about it as I anticipated what he was trying to do.

As he leaned over to pull the lever of the seat, I leaned forward a little as he adjusted the seat. He seemed to feel awkward as our bodies touched when he leaned over to my seat to help me.

As I made myself comfortable, I was almost in a lying position as I adjusted myself on the seat. Unknowingly, I did not know that the bra strap had slipped off on my bare shoulder as I turned myself to my right.

Perhaps, I could say someone whom I had begun to like a little……

A girl with no name 无名女郎 (part 6)

Hi. Its me again. Some people commented that I write abit too short. Its like about between 1600 and 1800 words. So I decided to lengthen it a little bit more. Of course must be progressive la. I would try to put in about 2200 to 2500 words per part from part 7 onwards to satisfy your "stamina" of reading. Haha. ok its crap. Without any further delay, let me just roll out the next part.

Part 6 simmers....

“Uncle, send me to Singapore General Hospital instead,” I told the taxi driver as he was about to exit out to go towards my home.

As I saw my auntie at the lobby, she immediately rushed and pulled me along without saying anything else.

“What happened to you?” I instinctively asked this question when I saw my mother on the hospital bed.

“Its just some old illness, it has occurred again, I would be fine,” my mother looked surprisingly calm as contrast to my anxiousness.

“When I was about to go to the toilet, I realised she was not at her bed, and she was on lying on the floor. After a while, she came round but she could not really walk properly and I sent her to the hospital,” my aunt finally explained.

“Aunt, thank you so much for taking care of my mother. Its better that you go home to rest, I would be staying with my mother,” I showed my gratitude to my aunt as I waved to her to tell her to go home.

“Sorry, mother, I had neglected you. I was too busy with work that I had not seen you since I put you at aunt’s home,” I felt guilty for my negligence.

“My dear daughter, don’t worry too much about me. You just concentrate on what you are doing. But my concern is that working late nights everyday might take a toll on your health too. I hope you can be able to do something else in here. A day job or something,” my mother smiled faintly at me as her eyes seemed to express concern about my daily lifestyle.

I did not utter a word. I did not know what to say. I just wanted my mother to recover as fast as possible. As I held my mother’s hand, I rested my head near the edge of the bed. As tiredness set in, I slowly dozed off and went into the dream world.

“Hey, wake up. I would need you to leave for a while,” a female voice shook me up as I woke up.

I looked up drowsily as I saw a nurse smiling at me. I looked at the time. It was three in the afternoon. I left the room and waved good bye to my mum.

On the way home, I was reflecting about the incidents that happened last night. I looked at the hand that slapped Chris. I felt I was in the wrong by slapping him. He had a choice of who he wanted to be with and since we had not seen each other for so long, I should not have treated him when I saw him for the first time after so many years.

“I need to seek advice from you,” Belinda’s serious tone together with Carol’s anxious look greeted me at the gate of our home.

“Mr. Fang, our agent, talked to us last night. We wanted to find you but you left abruptly. Mr. Fang said that the amount of flowers and lady drinks are way below the quota for the week, he told us that since we are new. He would hope that we can do better in the coming weeks, you have always been the top among all of us in getting the most flowers and lady drinks, could you teach us how?” Belinda continued.

“Tonight, I shall help you,” I smiled at Belinda and Carol as they were delighted with my reply.

“Hi, how are you?” I went over to greet Marcus, a regular customer.

I was holding Belinda and Carol’s hands as I led them to Marcus’ table. I sat opposite Marcus as Belinda and Carol sat beside Marcus. I used my eyes to hint to them to take good care of Marcus.

As we played dice games, Marcus was eyeing at Belinda as he put his hand on her lap. Belinda held his hand and smiled at him. I looked at the watch and realised that we had only ten more minutes left.

“Marcus, can you buy us lady drinks or not?” I stood up and bend over to ask Marcus.

Marcus smiled as he agreed to buy us three lady drinks each. I gave Marcus a light peck on the cheek and the both of them followed suit too.

“We have to get ready to dance,” I left as Belinda and Carol followed behind me. As I greeted the regular customers, I introduced Belinda and Carol too.

“For the past few days, you have always been walking around and only sitting on a few tables that the customers had given you flowers when you are dancing. Follow what Kelly and I do. We go around every table to greet and to talk to them for a while before moving on to the next table. You would definitely be known to more people,” I whispered a piece of advice to them as we were walking about.

As the night progressed, we were having fun as I went around with the two of them to almost every single table. I realised that Belinda was quite passive but she seemed to attract more customers as they tended to talk to her more but Carol was aggressive as she always tried to take the initiative to engage with the customers.

“Hi, it’s me, I am sorry about last night,” a familiar voice came as my shoulder was tapped.

“I did not expect to see you again!” I exclaimed as I was surprised to see Chris again.

“I am very sorry about last night. I hope that I did not hurt you too badly,” my voice became meek as I felt awkward seeing him again after the incident last night.

“I was very surprised about what you said and did last night, but I never blamed you for that. You were concerned about me as a friend, but I do agree that you have a very nice figure. Most men would fall in love with you on first sight,” he seemed to be hinting on something indirectly.

“Would you fall in love with me on first sight then?” my question seemed redundant as I realised that I was asking a ridiculous question only after I finished asking.

He did not utter a word as he poured a glass of whiskey for me and we drank together. The embarrassment seemed to have erased after the first glass as we exchanged smiles.

“If you all are creating any new dance moves, you can give me a call. I can come down and take a look and give you all some pointers. For an old friend, I don’t charge a single cent,” his offer ended with a slight laughter.

I shook hands with him as I indicated to him that I had to move on to greet other customers.

As I scanned the area, I saw Belinda looking at my direction. She seemed to be indicating to me to go over. A customer sitting beside her had his arms all around her.

“Hi, my name is Vanessa. How can I address you?” I looked at him as I tried to introduce myself.

“Hi, my name is Mark. He is my friend, Edward,” he introduced himself. His right arm was around Belinda’s waist as his left hand was holding her hand and putting them on her lap.

Mark ignored me straight away after he introduced himself. Edward and Carol was playing dice games as I looked at Belinda trying to indicate to her that everything would be alright.

“Would you go to my apartment after work? I can buy you more lady drinks,” Mark’s eyes were all over Belinda as his eyes settled on where her cleavage was.

I saw a tray of lady’s drinks on the table. There were about twelve of them. As there were three more shots of tequila left on the tray, I took them out.

“Cheers! Let’s drink up,” I took up one shot glass as I served the other two shot glasses to the both of them.

“Belinda, the manager wants to see you,” I faked a serious tone as the three of us gulped the liquor down.

As I led Belinda out of the table and outside the workplace, Belinda seemed to be stressed.

“Mark suddenly grabbed my hand without any reason while we were playing games. I did not know how to react but just played on then he started to hug me and put his arm around my waist. There were customers who did that but the way he treated me, I felt very uneasy,” Belinda tried to explain.

“It’s alright. That’s why I tried to help you just now. Most importantly is that you can meet to the quota for this month if not you might have to leave for another place. Belinda, you have to be more outgoing to stay in this line. You are attractive but you are not able to make use of your attractiveness to the fullest,” I consoled her as she seemed to be on the verge to tears.

“I don’t think that its only just work that is giving you pressure. You seemed to behave a bit differently for the past two days. We cannot stay outside for too long. I talk to you when we finish our work for the day ok?” I seemed to be able to read her mind.

As we went back, I saw three familiar faces from far.

“Hi pretty girl, where have you been?” Gilbert popped the question as his dimples came out with a huge smile framing his face.

I smiled at him and saw Leo and Alex behind him. Alex seemed to try to look away as I turned my direction to face him. I introduced Belinda to them and sat with them.

“When are you going to rest for this month?” Alex’s question was unexpected as I off handedly could not reply his question immediately.

“I think I may be free next Monday. Why?” I thought for a while as I looked at the calendar in my phone.

“I was thinking of taking you out for dinner if you are free on that day,” I expected him to ask me along those lines as it was common for customers to ask me out for dinner dates on my off days.

“Sure, I am free on that evening and I am fine with anything,” I smiled at him as he seemed a bit nervous. I let out a small giggle as he looked surprised that I agreed.

As we drank, I took Belinda’s hand and left for other tables.

“Why do we leave so fast? We have not even sat for more than ten minutes,” Belinda scratched her head as she gave me a curious look.

“They don’t buy lady drinks. It’s no point to stay so long since we have many other customers on the table. Mr. Fang is near the bar area. He would not be happy with you especially if you sit on their table for quite a long time and they did not buy anything for you,” I whispered into her ear, not wanting anybody else to hear what I was telling her.

As we went around, Belinda and Carol was satisfied. The amount of lady drinks and flowers that they had on that night was more than the combined amount over the past few nights.

As our workplace closed for the night, we waved goodbye to every customer still seated at their tables. It seemed like a very long night and we were dog tired. Even though it was a short walk from our workplace to our home, we took a much longer time to walk back as our tired legs reduced our pace by a notch or two.

“Vanessa, can we go to the living room to talk?” I came out of the bathroom as Belinda was standing at the corridor.

A girl with no name 无名女郎 (part 5)

Hi everybody. Its me. I had to delay part 5 as I had lots of work to do and a project to rush. It was a lucky thing that today I have the time to write it. I like this part the most because when I wrote the story, I can visualise it like that of in a movie. This part was inspired by a movie only shown overseas(not in Singapore) , a person's encounter and abit of my own imagination. As much as I feel deeply connected to this part of the story, I hoped you would enjoy it with an open mind..

The story continues with a little controversy...

“WHAT?” I shouted so loud that anybody walking past the washroom could have even heard it.

“Ah Ling, I am Chris. Yes it’s really me. I just came to Singapore from Taiwan a few days ago. I am here to work and I managed to find a place to stay with my buddy who also came from Taiwan to Singapore to work too,” Chris sounded chirpy.

I was so delighted to hear his voice. Chris was my college schoolmate and we were in the same extra curriculum activity where we were in the same dance group. He was my dance partner on a few occasions when we needed to perform on stage. There were some stages where I was slightly attracted to him as he was not only good in dancing but also good in his studies.

“I heard you are working as a dancer. Could you tell me where you are working at? I am free today. I would like to pop by,” Chris showed his eagerness to see me.

I told him the address of my workplace and he promised me he would be there in twenty minutes. I looked at the watch and it was around one in the morning.

Another session of dancing began and we played our second set of songs which we had practised our dance moves earlier this week. I tried very hard to concentrate as I was a bit drunk.

When the flower girl came and gave me a ten-dollar flower, she pointed towards the right direction at the far corner and I saw Chris. I let out a big smile towards him as I waved to him. Chris also gave flowers to the others in the dance group. I felt as if the tiredness had worn out and I wanted to give my best performance to an old friend.

“Thank you Chris,” I gathered my other three dance partners to greet Chris as we finished our dance.

“Ah Ling, its good to see you after such a long time. You are a great dancer, but I would like to give you all my two cents worth of my thoughts on your dancing,” Chris complimented us as he seemed to have a serious tone near the end of his statement.

Chris had not aged much. His big eyes seemed to sparkle at every comment he made. Belinda and Carol seemed to be enchanted by his boyish looks and they nodded furiously at each comment he made. Kelly seemed to be a bit listless. When he stood up and showed us some dance movements of his own, I smiled to myself as I remembered the days when we practised our dance moves, holding each other in our arms as we danced in synchrony. I still remembered the times when his lips were close to mine during our rehearsals.

“Ah Ling, I am working as a creative director in an advertising firm. Choreographers also consult me at times about perfecting those dance movements to be performed in big events. If your boss needs my help to advertise this place, you can find me. I can also teach you a few pointers in the future when you are practising more dance moves in the future!” Chris exclaimed in a joking manner near the end of the statement as he passed his name card to me.

“Hey, if you are free, you can come up to my apartment later tonight,” Chris whispered to me as we had to leave to go to another table.

That small seed of attraction for him many years ago seemed to have grown very huge at an instant. He had not changed much in terms of his facial features but he became more muscular and when he spoke, he was confident with an ooze of intelligence in his words. I could not help but peek at him whenever I could. There was once when I turned to look at him and his smile mesmerised me to the point that one of the customers called my name a few times but I was in my own world: my own world with only him in it.

When it was time to knock off, I was very eager as I went off with Chris. As we reached his apartment, a male greeted us at the door.

“He is my buddy, Isaac. This is my friend, Ah ling,” Chris introduced.

Isaac grabbed Chris’s arm as he led him to the kitchen.

“Excuse me for a while, you just make yourself at home,” Chris turned his head round and shouted towards my direction as he was pulled to the kitchen.

He really lived up to his title as a Creative Director. The paintings of the wall are unorthodox and very modern. His furniture had a matt finish. His plasma television seemed to be blend in with the wall as the colours complimented very well.

There were three bedrooms. One of the bedroom doors was closed and the other two seemed to be of a vast difference to each other from what I could see from where I was standing in the middle of the living room. One was plain with only a single bed, a table and a few chairs. The other was very well-furnished with a queen-sized bed, a full-wall mirror, a C-shaped table and high-back wooden chairs. The built-in wardrobes had very unique triangular golden knobs dotted on them.

“Let me show you my room,” Chris’ voice from behind startled me a little.

He led me to the well-furnished bedroom as he closed the door behind us. I felt a sense of anticipation and a mild feeling of danger and vulnerability when he closed the door. I thought, what would he do to me?

“Surprise! Look at the door,” Chris sounded excited as he pointed at the door.

“Remember this poster. This pose that we made for advertising our performance many years ago,” Chris continued as he smiled widely at my direction.

I looked at the poster. I could not believe he still kept it after so many years ago. I did not even know where I had put my copy.

He took my hand and led me to the C-shaped table.

“I bought it at a furniture fair in here, it was very unique and I kind of like it, it is ..” he was interrupted as I put my finger on his lips.

He seemed startled as I put my hands on his big broad shoulders. As I leaned towards him, I felt so secured with him so close to me.

As I wanted to kiss him, he pushed me slightly away from him.

“Why? You have no feelings for me, or I am not worthy of you?” I asked with slight disappointment.

“No, its not that. You do not understand, Ah ling. I …” he was interrupted by the sudden opening of the door.

“Darling, your supper is ready. Ah ling you can join us to eat if you want to,” Isaac smiled at Chris and looked at my direction.

“Where did my pillow go to? Can you help me find it?” Isaac looked at the bed realising that there was only one pillow on the bed.

I stared at disbelief at the both of them. I felt that I did not have the energy to stand as I sat on the table. I was too shocked to try to express how I felt at that split second.

“You mean you two….” I did not know how to describe such an unconventional relationship between the both of you at that moment.

“Yes, we are together as an item,” Isaac spoke in a casual tone and he disappeared.

I tried my best to resist my tears from flowing out but a tear came oozing out of my right eye as it trickled down my cheek.

“Whats wrong, Ah Ling? Are you unwell?” Chris was very concerned as he held my shoulders.

I did not know which part of my head make me decide to muster my strength to take his right hand and put it on my left breast. I put my left hand and made sure his big hand was on it making him feel the full curvature of my breast.

He seemed expressionless as I stared at him with disbelief. I thought that was some hope that he could still feel attracted to me.

“You don’t feel turned on? I am not attractive to you? Touching a woman’s breast doesn’t even turn you on at all?” I cried out as I looked in his eyes intensely.

His right hand started to shiver as he seemed to be struggling to take it away. I took his hand away from my breast and I turned away from him and rushed off.

As I was about to leave his room, he pulled me so hard that I thought my arm was yanked off from my body as he pulled me and hugged me. His embrace was tight but yet so warm. He started to kiss my lips all of a sudden and I did not know why but I could not resist.

“It still feels the same as the last kiss we had after our successful performance. I feel so close towards you but yet I am not attracted to you in any way,” the kiss was abrupt as his words made my blood boil.

“Let go of me,” I ordered.

As he let go of me, I used all my strength to give him a tight slap on his face. He did not seem to react much to that slap across the face as if anticipating it to come.

“Chris, you are a disappointment. To tell you the truth, I had liked you since our college days. I was hoping that we could develop somewhere in here since we are both in Singapore. But now, I guess you can enjoy your blissful relationship with your gay partner,” torrents of tears came gushing down my cheeks as I was choked with both anger and disappointment.

I left his apartment without looking back as I tried to clear the tears away from my cheeks.

On the way back to my home, Chris called me umpteen times but I refused to pick up the phone call.

When the phone rang again, I wanted to tell him off not to call me ever again.

“Chris, stop calling me again!” I shouted nearly at the top of my voice.

“Are you ok or not? This is your auntie. Could you go over to Singapore General Hospital? Something happened to your mother. I would wait for you at the main lobby,” my auntie’s worried voice made me anxious.

“Uncle, send me to Singapore General Hospital instead,” I told the taxi driver as he was about to exit out to go towards my home.

What happened to her mother? Catch it on part 6!

A girl with no name 无名女郎 (part 4)

I really appreciated your comments so far. Many positive remarks, a few criticisms here and there really made me have a greater motivation to work harder on my story. I have to say "paiseh" as I took nearly a week to finish part 4. I was tied up with some stuff during the week.

I always liked to write stories from young and always wanted to be an author. I believe that to be a successful author, one must be open towards new concepts, new ideas and be unbounded in terms of stretching those creative juices and imagination.

After writing, editing part 4 and doing up the drafts for the rest of the parts, I feel this is the biggest challenge to write something where it not just stretches my ability to write but also a test of whether my character might have a drastic change after writing a story. I am not saying that I would be a depressed soul after writing, but I do not know what would happen to me next after finishing this story…..

The story warms up….

“This is your parcel and a boutique of flowers,” the nonchalant voice of the delivery man seemed to downplay my anticipation.

I took the boutique of roses. Other than the natural smell of the roses, my nose sniffed on something else familiar. It was my favourite perfume, Gucci Flora. I was very surprised that someone would be able to know what perfume I sprayed on that fast. I pondered and wondered if I had told anybody on my first day of work.

As I opened the parcel like a small child with glee, I was surprised that it was a porcelain vase with very intrigue carvings of Chinese fairies. There was a note attached on the vase which said, “Fill me with roses.” The sender was anonymous but indeed he was quite comical in the way the gift was presented to me.

“Wah, I really envy you,” Kelly exclaimed as she took my roses and smelled them too.

“Cut it out, we have to finish our dinner and then get changed,” I looked from the corner of my eye as I saw some customers walking into our workplace.

As I got dressed up with my make-up on, I made a final check in the dressing room as I headed out.

“Hi Vanessa, remember me?” a voice seemed to have shot out from the dark.

“Hey Mr. Lim, how are you? I saw you last night and today you are here again,” I turned around and I could recognize him. He was one of the few loyal customers who came to my workplace since I started in here.

“Recognise this perfume?” Mr. Lim put on the brakes to what he was going to say next as he pointed to the perfume box that was on the table.

“Oh mine, you are the one who asked the delivery man to send the roses and the parcel,” I exclaimed as I saw the Gucci Flora box on the table.

“I hoped you liked it, I sprayed the perfume on the stalk instead of the petals as I was afraid the petals might turn brown. I have cut the ends slantwise and I hope you can put them into the vase that I had given you. Use warm water and put a spoon of sugar into the water so that the roses can last longer,” Mr. Lim seemed nervous as he stammered at the end when I gave him a light peck on his cheek.

“You are amazing, how do you know so much?” I was very impressed by Mr. Lim’s knowledge on flowers.

“Although I have my own business dealing in technology, my mother is a florist. So I learnt a lot of things about flowers from her. Just call me Ronnie would do,” Mr. Lim felt justified with his answer to my question.

“I hoped we can be more than friends,” Mr. Lim stopped abruptly testing my reaction to his statement.

“It’s a pity that we can be almost together. But I really appreciate your sincerity and your support for me since when I first started working here,” I was trying to be indirect but yet hoping that he can get the message.

“Cheers, and thanks again for your gift,” I poured a drink for myself and knocked my glass gently against his.

“This perfume is also for you. It is not just an empty box,” Mr. Lim pushed the box into my hands as I could feel the weight of the perfume bottle inside the box.

“Thank you once again. I have to go over to the other side. I would come back,” I exclaimed.

As I went around, there was not much of a crowd as it was a weekday. I just went about to my usual routine of dancing and in between our dance sessions, we went round different tables to talk to the customers.

I walked by Mr. Lim’s table when a hand grabbed on my upper arm.

“Vanessa, I have waited for you for over one year. I really like you a lot. Can you be my girlfriend?” Mr. Lim slurred a little as I could tell he was quite drunk

I was taken aback by his action but I forced a smile.

“You are drunk, Mr. Lim. We would talk about this another day ok?” I tried to avoid his question.

As Mr. Lim put his arm around my waist, I spotted Kelly nearby giggling at my direction and she shrugged.

“Call me Ronnie dear. You are my girlfriend, so you call me dear ok?” I struggled to try to understand what Mr. Lim was trying to say even though Mr. Lim pulled me closer towards him with his arm still tight around my waist.

I could not help but laughed silently to myself. He was a very sweet above-average looking man who had a stable career, but I did not have any feelings for him. Maybe I was too picky or it was the environment that I knew this man that made me hesitant.

I finally pulled myself out of his grasp as his grasp gradually became less tight. Mr. Lim was struggling to sit in his chair as I persuaded him to go home early to have a good rest.

As Mr. Lim staggered out of my workplace, I was quite relieved as I carried on with my routine.

Friday came at last. Everyday from the second day at work without fail, we had to go to our workplace two hours before hand to practise on our dance moves.

“I think that’s about all. We have to quickly take our dinner. Time is running short as we have to start work quite soon,” I felt satisfied when we finished our rehearsal.

“Angel, the playlist of the songs is written here for our dance tonight,” I passed a piece of paper that I scribbled the songs on to the disc jockey.

“Let us welcome our third group of dancers who would be giving you all a spectacular performance,” Angel’s voice interrupted the music as we went up on stage.

There were a lot of people today and I felt a bit nervous. Although there were butterflies in my stomach, I tried my best to concentrate on our routine. As I went to the front part of the stage, a pop sound almost deafened my ears as I was given a five hundred dollar sash. I felt a sense of achievement as my nervousness dropped a notch or two. I waved towards the direction of the person who rewarded me but I could not see clearly as the area he was sitting in was dark. More flowers and sashes came in not only for myself but also for my three other colleagues. We felt that our hard work had paid off and we were motivated to give a better performance along the way.

It was all about our work, as we had to prioritise our time according to the amount that the customers had given us.

“Hi Marcus, thank you for your flowers,” the four of us sounded out in synchrony.

“Don’t just thank me. The rest have contributed. You all danced very well, I really enjoyed it very much,” Marcus complimented us as his hands started to move from my back down to near my butt crack.

“Let me introduce the rest of my friends to you,” he waved his hands in the direction to his friends.

“Alan, Jeremy, George…” When he said the name, I quickly looked at the direction as I felt a bit scared at that split moment.

As we played card and dice games, we seemed to be having fun drinking. We did not feel like we were working. It was always very fun having Marcus around although he comes once in a week on Friday normally. Marcus is generous, young and rich. Sometimes, I wonder why he was still single.

As the four of us drank for nearly half hour, we felt high as we chatted with them as if we are out on an outing. As we cracked silly jokes, it was hilarious how some of them could laugh till they almost fell off the chairs.

As I left the table, I was a bit tipsy. As I walked by the table towards the bar, I felt that the alcohol had kicked in and I staggered a little. I did not know for what reason I just sat down randomly on a chair.

“This is my seat,” a familiar voice sounded out from behind sounding serious.

I immediately jumped up as I seemed to have wakened up from a semi-drunken stupor.

“Relax, I am just kidding, It’s ok, just sit down,” Alex seemed to have a hundred eighty degree change in his tone as he sat beside me.

As we talked, I tried to use my eyes to flirt with him. I tried to move I did not know whether he was simply blur or he was pretending not to notice. I did not divert my attention to Gilbert and Leo as they were busy listening to the live band.

“You seemed to be drunk,” Alex seemed concern as my eyes seemed to be closing.

“I am fine,” I struggled to open my eyes wide again. As I put my hand on my lap, I felt that the touch of the material seemed foreign to me, then I realised that I was touching on his thighs. I looked around to see if anybody else had looked at us.

Then his hand held my hand down on his thigh. His big warm hands made me feel secure. I did not pull away from his grasp as I acted aloof to what was happening. As I gently put my body towards his shoulder to hear him talk, I could feel that his heartbeat had quickened a beat or two. I could feel his big shoulders as I enjoyed the warm secured feeling with him beside me.

When I put my mouth near to his ear to reply to his questions, it was just a hair-line distance between my lips and his ear lopes. I could feel that I gave a tingling sensation to his senses as the sound waves coming from my mouth were projected into his ears.

“I have to go to another table,” His other hand was about to land on my lap as I made an excuse to run off.

“I did not know you were behind us,” Gilbert sounded from behind as he tried to tap my shoulder but I was too quick for him as I ran off to the washroom.

As I went into the washroom, my phone rang. I did not see the number on the screen and I just picked it up.

“WHAT?” I shouted so loud that anybody walking past the washroom could have even heard it.

A girl with no name 无名女郎 (part 3)

Hi everybody. I hope you have enjoyed reading the first two parts. For those who are anxious to know what is going to happen, here it is: the third part of the story.

The story starts to warm up.........

I looked up and I was surprised by who he was.

“I know about what happened in the past few months, I believe your father would be able to fulfill your request,” a familiar voice sounded out on my left which startled me but I could not recall the owner of that voice.

I looked up and I was surprised by who he was. I could recognize him even though his face was partially blocked by the umbrella.

“Mr. Zhang, why are you here?” I could not find something more appropriate to ask him at that moment.

“I heard from my son, George, about the whole incident. I know that you have suffered quite a lot over the past few months. George is an intelligent person but yet he can do rash things and not think of the consequences at times. This time round, his actions caused dire consequences which are irreversible,” Mr. Zhang’s voice was calm and seemed like he had prepared beforehand what he was going to say to me.

“So what’s the point of telling me all these? It’s the past,” my defiant voice did not seem to disturb him in any way.

“Your father betrayed me while he was working under me. Before he passed away, I told him I have forgiven him for what he had done. Even though I am a very busy man, I would still come to see him at his death anniversary. Maybe its fate that we did not meet on those days until today,” Mr. Zhang let out a faint smile. His unusual calmness irked me a little.

“I disapproved your relationship between you and my son because of your profession. I cannot allow my son to marry a dancer in a nightclub. It would have a very bad image on my son and me. I do not know what is so attractive about you that make my son go head and heels over you. Karen is a nice woman who has a bright career path in one of my companies. You are so different from her. Yet both of you are best of friends. What an irony,” Mr. Zhang seemed to be beating round the bush, not getting straight to the point.

“I don’t wish to waste your precious time. You are a very important businessman, could you please be more direct and tell me what you want from me?” I tried to be strong giving him a no-nonsense attitude although I felt like breaking down anytime.

“George cannot concentrate on his work entirely. He is trying to get over with the loss of Karen but he needs you badly. He misses you a lot. Do you know that he is hunting all over for you ever since you shifted your home and changed your number? I even had to send one of my sub-ordinates to assist him after work,” Mr. Zhang’s voice started to get a bit more anxious but his sincerity was still doubtful.

“I hope you can quit your job and get together with George. For the sake of my son, I am coming here to ask you. He is my only son and I mean well for him. Today is my best chance of finding you as I knew you would turn up on your father’s death anniversary.” he put the umbrella away as the rain came to a stop, revealing his face completely.
Upon close scrutiny, I realised that he had aged a lot over just a mere five years since I last saw him. His eyes, which were full of fire eons ago, seemed to be subdued at that moment.

“Your son is going to take over your business and he is distracted at the moment that’s why you come here to ask me. I think it is more of your own personal interests rather than you being so kind and caring for your very own son,” I was quite sure my analysis of his motives was at least eighty percent correct.

“If you want to think it in that manner, I would not want to bother to change your mindset. Quite some time, I had forgiven your father because of your father’s long service under me. Till near the tail end of his life, he had caused me a lot of trouble and made me lose a lot of money back then. I believe you are a smart girl, you should know what I mean. I give you three days to think about it,” his words made me feel uneasy as I felt a bit threatened.

“What if I don’t agree?” I did not know what to expect of him for my question as I turned my head to face the tombstone.

“Then I cannot promise your safety in this country. I believe that by you going to the authorities would not be a wise option for you,” his words sent shivers down my spine.

As he walked away, I broke down and cried. I seemed to have left with no choice but to get together with George or to get out of this country.

“Hey Vanessa, it has been a long time since I have seen you and your mother,” my aunt smiled as I greeted her at the door.

As we entered into her home, I did not hesitate but to tell my aunt the objective of my visit. After a brief conversation, my aunt understood our predicament.

“Mr. Zhang’s influence in many parts of Taiwan is quite big. I think it’s a good idea that both of you were to come to Singapore to stay. Singapore is a safe country to stay and work in. He would not be able to do any harm to you. Your mother can stay here. I have a guest room. I am staying alone anyway and my children visit me occasionally. It would be good to have some company of my age,” my aunt agreed to my request.

“I would be staying in a rented place near my workplace with my colleagues. It would be more convenient for me as your home is very far away from my workplace, but I would visit you, mama,” I turned my head to look at my mother.

As I went to my workplace in the night time, it was a surprise to a few of my colleagues.

“You are back, you have been away from here for about 6 months,” Kelly’s reaction on my presence seemed a little exaggerated.

“I had some stuff to handle back in Taiwan so I was away for so long,” I scanned around and saw quite a number of new faces in the dressing room.

Kelly had been working with me for a few years. We have been going around in Taiwan’s clubs to dance and also to numerous events. Ever since we first came to Singapore about one and a half years ago, our bond was stronger as we had to depend on each other in a foreign country.

“Joanna and Vivian went back to Taipei?” I scanned around the dressing room and also looked outside at the relatively empty pub.

“Yes, they went back to Taipei just two weeks ago. I am not too sure if they would be coming back,” Kelly sounded a bit disappointed at the end of her statement.

“They have been good partners when the four of us were a team. Now we have to try to get the synergy right with our new partners,” Kelly continued as she introduced the two new faces.

“Belinda, Carol, She is Vanessa,” our brief introduction was punctuated with exchanges of handshakes.

Kelly pulled me to the Disc jockey console.

“Angel, Vanessa,” I realised that the disc jockey had also been changed too.

“We had not rehearsed any dance moves, so we shall just do our own dance moves for today,” Kelly spoke to the three of us.

When it was our turn, we went up to the stage. I spotted a few familiar faces even though I have not seen them for a long while. Garlands of flowers were given to me as I went to the front of the stage. I was trying to be as natural in my dance moves as possible but as I had not practised much for the past few months, I felt a bit stiff and the nervousness of being on the stage came as I lacked a bit of self-confidence.

“Hi Vanessa, it has been a long time since you I saw you. I thought you are not coming back to Singapore to work,” a voice rang out as I came down to the stage and walked to the bar area.

I turned my head around. His face looks familiar but I could not recall who he was at that point of time.

“My name is Ah Hong. You forgot my name already I guessed,” he spoke as I was trying to think hard to recall his name.

“Cheers on your return back to Singapore,” he pushed a glass of drink into my hands. I smiled at him and the rest of the customers on the table as I finished the glass.

“Ah Hong, I have to go to the other tables,” I grinned at him as I pat him on the back.

I went around looking for anybody familiar. I saw one group of three men whose ages are in their late twenties as one of them was waving at my direction.

“Hi, my name is Leo. You are very pretty. Is this your first day here?” he look quite handsome but he sounded quite cheeky the moment I was in the vicinity of their table.

“Hi, my name is Vanessa. I just came back from Taiwan,” I shook hands with him and looked behind.

“Hey, my name is Gilbert. Nice to meet you,” his smile with the two dimples showing prominently on his face made me giggle a little.

“Hi. My name is Alex,” he seemed to look a bit fierce and he did not have much of a facial expression but I smiled at him out of politeness.

Gilbert and Leo stood in front of me, trying to get my attention. From the corner of my eye, I looked in the direction of Alex. He occasionally looked at my direction but his attention was on the stage listening to the songs played by the live band members.

As I sat down on the table with the three of them, my conversation with Gilbert was very long. We could talk about a lot of stuff from the political scenes in Taiwan to the food fare in Singapore. Although we talked for about nearly ten minutes, he was unlike other customers who tend to be a bit touchy and talked silly things to me but he did not give me any kind of feeling on the first impression when we just met.

As I went around other tables, I was very elated where quite a lot of customers still recognized me after such a long period of absence. I felt like I had thrown down a big boulder off my shoulders when the night continued as I drank a lot on that day.

When it was near the closing time, I staggered towards the bar area. As I tried to support myself by putting my hand on the round table near me, my hand missed the round table and I felt that I was about to fall.

“Vanessa, are you ok?” a strong hand grabbed my upper right arm. I looked up and Alex seemed to be concerned.

“I am alright, thanks anyway,” I turned to face him as I tapped on his hand showing my gratitude.

“Carol and Belinda, what made you come to Singapore to work?” I was still quite drunk even after washing up as I climbed to my bed and saw Carol and Belinda still awake in their respective beds.

“I was studying in University but I did not like the course that I was in. When I was in year two, I fell in love with my university classmate and my grades became from bad to worse. At the end of the second year, I had no choice but to drop out. My passion is dancing and someone recommended me to come here to work,” Belinda took the initiative to reply to my question first.

“Well, my father passed away when I was a young child. Recently, my mother had a minor stroke and cannot work so I had no choice but to find work and I was told that I can earn a lot of money in here so I came here,” Carol’s words seemed have struck me hard in my head. She was not only just truthful but her family background was quite similar to mine.

As we talked, our voice became softer as we subconsciously went into our respective dreamlands.

“Let’s work on our new dance moves. I would take the lead, you all would follow me,” I looked at Kelly, Carol and Belinda as we looked at the stage.

When the selected songs were played, I went to the front of the stage as I tried to choreograph our new dance moves with three songs. It was tiring as I had not done it for a long time and I had to spend a lot of time correcting some mistakes along the way. Having three other dancers in my group to synchronise with my dance movements was not easy but I hoped that we could get our act to near perfection by the end of the week.

While we were eating, a delivery man came in.

“May I know whether Vanessa is around?” the delivery man seemed to looking around.

“Yes?” I acknowledged.

“This is your parcel and a boutique of flowers,” the nonchalant voice of the delivery man seemed to downplay my anticipation.

Who is the mysterious sender of the flowers and the parcel? Look out for part 4!

A girl with no name 无名女郎 (part 2)

Hi everybody. Its me again. I hope you all have enjoyed the first part. Now let me roll out the second part.

The story continues....

As he slowly walked towards me to sit down beside me, I felt nervous as my heart seemed to skip a beat or two. I seemed to know what was coming next, but I seemed to be anticipating it. The feeling of anticipating it made me breathe harder as I felt more comfortable in this white low-cut short satin dress on my skin with my head sank into the silk pillow and the indescribable texture of his bed on my exposed bare skin………

“My world would never be complete without you,” he leaned over to my side.

I felt comfortable in his embrace as he leaned partially on top of me. His touches seemed familiar but yet so vague. His kisses were assertive and attentive. As his kisses from my cheek came down to light pecks on my neck, my eyes became half-close as I felt pampered. As I felt a tingling sensation all over my body with his fingers running down from my neck to my dress, it was a feeling that I missed so much. As his fingers went to the side of my body from underneath my arms to the middle of my chest and down to my waist, I shivered slightly as my breathing was a slow and relaxed pace. I felt very vulnerable as I could see a blurry image of his fingers going slowly up on my twin peaks as his fingers went back in between them. He really knew what I needed at almost every moment. Second after second, I felt that I was in another higher level. George was a man whom I really wanted to be with for the rest of my life but under circumstances and obstacles between us, we could not be together.

As his hands moved down to my legs and he attempted to tug my dress up to my waist, I instinctively pushed him away gently as he felt startled.

“What’s wrong?” he sounded very concerned.

I shook my head and smiled faintly at him.

“You really melt my heart,” my voice was barely audible.

Without a second thought, I put his right hand on my chest and I did not let go of it but only after a few seconds. He froze as his hand did not move. He seemed to be concentrating on feeling my heartbeat.

As I breathed hard, time seemed to have frozen for a while as we were in an almost still position not knowing what the opposite party would do next.

George boldly pulled up my dress to my waist as he kissed me in the lips passionately trying to distract me from what he was doing as his hands went underneath my dress. I could not help but letting out soft groans as his touches on my bare skin seemed to electrify me as he was pulling my dress up nearly to my bust.

Just then, I heard the keys at the door starting to unlock.

“Oh no, don’t tell me is her!” George’s face was as pale as the colour of my dress.

I glared at George as if my eyes could shoot darts at him. I could not believe what he said.

“George…..I am back……Oh my god! Who is that woman?!” a familiar voice sounded as George was blocking my view.

“I thought you said you wanted to stay in your mother’s place tonight. Why are you back?” George tried to divert the topic.

“Oh, so you took the opportunity to bring another woman back while I was not around right? I came back to drop off my shopping bags and I wanted to ask you to fetch me there. Bitch, you would get it from me!” the voice became louder with each word spoken.

As George rushed over, I could not believe my eyes. She was Karen, my best friend!

Karen dropped her bags when she saw me. In the next moment, Karen ran to my direction so fast that George could not stop her.

“How dare you seduce my fiancés? I could not believe that you want to snatch him away from me,” her tight slap across my face punctured her statement.

Her tight slap was so powerful that I fell onto the sofa bed. She wanted to attack me when George grabbed her from behind and pulled her away from me.

“I was hoping to introduce him to you next week and not now, not in this way. Vanessa, you have disappointed me truly. You are always in the limelight with men and now you still are,…” Karen incessant yelling at the top of her voice made her look like an insane woman at that point of time.

“George, you better explain this in front of us,..” I could not help but let the torrents of tears flow down my cheeks.

“What’s there to explain? You are a very cunning woman, you knew that I was going to marry him, and so you seduced him behind my back. You are worse than a slut,” Karen was ready to pounce and attack me at any moment only to be held firmly by George.

As Karen seemed to calm down, George let go of his grip slowly.

“I would die in front of you two. My dear George, our baby would join me and I would not allow him to see a horrible father like you. Worse of all is, the third party is my best friend,” Karen seemed berserk as she looked frantic, prancing around trying to look for something.

“Karen, I really did not know he is going to be your husband. Trust me please,” my words were minced in between my sobs as I struggled to speak with my tears flowing into my mouth.

Karen’s eyes suddenly looked at one direction as she ran towards that direction. It was the kitchen. George and I quickly chased after her as she took a knife on the table.

“Don’t come any closer if not I would kill you,” she inched backwards towards the open window as she climbed onto the ledge facing us.

Without any hesitation, I ran over to try to grab her, but she took the knife and slashed my upper right arm. As I managed to wrestle the knife off her hands, I stretched out my hand to grab her hand regardless of the perils that I was going to face by doing so. As half of my body was nearly out of the window, I tried to grab hold of anything, but all I could grab was the thin, crisp air and I felt a sudden upsurge of wind movement. I looked down in despair as I saw Karen land in a thud. I was stunned and was in a loss of words. No words could describe how I felt. As a strong wind howled cries into my ears, it was far from gentle on my face as it blew my tears literally back into my eyes. The sting caused me to return back instinctively into the room. George slumped at the corner of the kitchen, obviously too stunted by the sudden extreme change of events.

Instinctively, I rushed downstairs. I did not even think twice but to just run down as fast as I could to the ground floor. The pain from my right arm seemed to be non-existent. I felt abit numb at that area. My heart pumped so hard that it seemed like it was going to jump out of my mouth anytime. As my heart paced so fast, I seemed to be looking at a whirl of kaleidoscope of colours, my mind was dizzy and my head was spinning fast. My thoughts which meandered around my mind were only about Karen. It seemed to take eternity to run down the stairs as I finally reached to the ground floor. I ran towards her direction, and when I was nearing her remains, a concoction of nervousness, fear, sorrow and disappointment tingled down my spine with such a tremendous force that I just crumbled to my knees and fell next to her body and my knees landed onto the pool of blood with a splash. Her beautiful face was still intact, but her upper body was smashed horribly. I held onto her face, my tears flowed profusely and dripped onto her face. Any miracle of her surviving was totally wiped out.

“Karen, I did not have a chance to tell you the truth. I really did not know George was going to be your husband,” I murmured as I looked at Karen.

I did not know that blood was flowing profusely out of my open wound from my arm as I felt dizzy. My vision slowly became blurry as I felt a lot of blood on my left hand. Before I could look at how extensive my wound was, I blacked out.

When I woke up in an unfamiliar place, the first person I saw was George. Behind him was my mother. I immediately turned my head to face away from George.

“Lingling, I did not know that the both of you know each other. If I have known, I would not have done such a thing,” George’s words not only did not console me but instead made my blood boil.

“You should not have done that in the first place whether or not, Karen and I are good friends. Karen is a good girl. She is my best friend for fifteen years. I feel cheated. Your lies, your..”I could not bear to carry on as my emotional wound was much deeper as compared to my physical wound as my head was still facing away from George.

“Get out of my sight, George. I want to speak to my mother privately. Just get out,” my anger was stifled as I tried to control my temper in the hospital grounds.
George tried to grab my hand but I put it away from him as he reluctantly left the room.

“She is gone. Karen is gone,” I cried as my mother hugged me.

My mother knew Karen very well from the time when she was only a small child as she often came to our home to study or play together.

“If I had known, I would give George a tight slap,” her angry words shot out of her mouth after I related the whole incident to my mother.

“You had better rest well, my dear child. Don’t worry about me, we have enough savings to last for a few months. At this age and my health, nobody would want to employ me. Its really hard on you,” her tone became much softer, a big contrast to her earlier statement.

4 months later,

I could not help but think about Karen as I looked out of the window, enjoying the sunset view. The memories at her funeral were still fresh in my mind after quite a long time. After police investigations, there was not enough evidence to press any charges against us. The whole episode was a trauma to me and I was glad it was over but the emotional pain still remained. George persistently called me many times and even looked for me at my home but I ignored him. I did not have a choice but to change my number and to shift to another place to avoid him. It was only then that he could not locate where I was. During these four months, I did not have the mood to work as I felt like I was going into depression.

As I walked along the uneven pavement, I looked down at the random puddles of water filling small gaps and holes in the pavements. The pelting of huge raindrops on the ground seemed to be like an onslaught of small hailstones hammering onto the helpless ground which was under the mercy of the natural elements of the weather. My pace turned from a slow one and eventually to a stop. I managed to find my father’s tombstone. Every year for the past 5 years, I would not fail to turn up in front of his tombstone on his death anniversary.

“Pa, my best friend, Karen, is dead. I hope you can take care of her in the other world. I feel very sad, Pa. I have lost you and now I have lost my best friend too,” my murmurs were hardly audible as I knelt in front of the tombstone.

“I know about what happened in the past few months, I believe your father would be able to fulfill your request,” a familiar voice sounded out on my left which startled me but I could not recall the owner of that voice.

I looked up and I was surprised by who he was.

Who else was there at Vanessa's father's death anniversary? Find out in part 3!

A girl with no name 无名女郎 (Introduction)

Hello once again. Its been almost one hectic long year. Well, alot of things had happened this year. Perhaps quite a few sweeping changes in my life. This year, I had met alot of new friends too and this story is inspired by a few of them. Concocting life experiences with some imagination on my own took quite a while for me to plan out, but writing it out through my head seemed to be a smooth flow of ideas after ideas into this story. The protagonist is a female once again. (I think I cannot recall the last time I wrote a story where the protagonist is a male.) I feel its going to be a greater challenge than the previous story that I wrote and I could feel the great challenge of immersing myself into a shoes of woman already in the later part of the introduction of the story. Perhaps some ideas for those ladies out there who wants to have a different perspective in their relationship with their men? Haha, I don't know seriously whether it would work, but no harm trying!

The story starts to unfold......

“Vanessa, I am going to be a mum. I am 2 months pregnant,” Karen broke the new with a whisper in my ear. A broad smile across her face emphasised her joy.

“Even though we have not met for nine months, I did not know you have a new boyfriend and already pregnant! Are you going to get married to him?” I glazed at my best friend with a surprise.

“You have always been busy with work overseas and we hardly catch up. You know that we have not been talking much for the past 2 years. Remember the times when we were in High school, college and university. We would always tease the boys and have a lot of fun together. I always envy you, you always seemed to be a hunk magnet whereas I have to be like a sidekick to you. That was the past. Now I guess we are in our mid twenties, its time to move on to the next chapter of our lives,” Karen’s words seemed to deviate from the current topic as she did not answer my question.

“I would keep it a secret from you who he is. One day, I would introduce you to him and he has proposed to me!” she uncovered her hands as she showed me the one-carat diamond ring.

I smiled as I felt elated for my best friend. I still remembered during our schooling days where I was able to get the attention from the boys in school whereas she was behind supporting me. Now, she was the first to get married. It was irony but that’s life.

“Hi George, sorry to keep you waiting,” I smiled at him as I got into the car.

“I miss you so much. Working in Singapore must be tiring for you I guess,” George returned the smile as he looked into my eyes.

As I related about my work in Singapore, the ride seemed to be a short one as George pulled over to a local restaurant.

“I guessed you must have missed the local food in here after working overseas for so long,” George took my hand as he led me into the restaurant.

As we ate our dinner slowly, it was a far cry from when I worked in Singapore. I slept in the wee hours of the morning when dawn nearly cracked and woke up when the sun was about to set. Dinner was a quick one as I ate at the company that I worked in with my colleagues.

As we finished our dinner, George put his right hand across the table and reached out for mine. His left hand took out a small envelope from his pocket as he put it in my hand.

“My dear LingLing, you know during the time when you are in overseas, I miss you so much. I don’t want you to work so hard overseas. You are so pretty and good-natured. You do not deserve to work in this line. I know you need money to support your family. It is very hard on you to grow up in a single-parent environment too. I want you to take this and stay here and accompany me ok?” his tone was serious. His expression was solemn.

I peeked in the envelope and realised it was a lot of money.

“I cannot take your money, I am not your mistress and I cannot be your girlfriend. Our relationship is just pure companionship. My family woes had nothing to do with you, I don’t want you to be involved. I would feel very guilty taking it,” I refuted his offer firmly. My voice seemed agitated but yet quaky.

“Come to my place. We can talk there,” George held my hand gently as if assuring me that everything would be alright.

I nodded with a faint smile.

On the way back to his home, the silence in the car seemed to make me drowsy as I adjusted the chair and leaned backwards to close my eyes and take a nap.

As my eyes fluttered open slowly, I felt his hand on my waist as his lips were gently planted on mine. His quickened breath stirred me up as I closed my eyes again and I held his arms.

“We have reached my home. Its just my way of waking you up without causing you a scare,” his words seemed to ooze out an air of romance.

As I entered into his home, it was slightly different from my last visit nearly nine months ago.

“I bought this oriental foldable partition from an auction two months ago. Its used for changing clothes behind the partition,” he pointed at the 5 panel foldable partition which had 5 different oriental drawings on it from Chinese cranes to that of carps. I looked at awe at the partition. It was a beautiful add-on to the decoration of the living room.

“Nobody has gone behind the partition as yet,” his seemingly jokingly manner did not really quite synced into my mind as I caressed the rosewood of the long sofa set.

“This sofa bed is made of rosewood to blend into the rest of my decoration. Its comfortable for two people,” his cheeky comments made me tingle a little.

“Other than that, the paintings and the furniture are still the same by and large,” he continued on, trying to impress me with such delicacy that he did not want to sound too proud of himself.

George looked into my eyes as he held me in his arms.

“Lingling, its been nine months since I last saw you. I really missed the times that we were together. Stay here for the night, wouldn’t you?” George sincere words seemed to move me by an inch.

“George, I am just a dancer who earns money dancing in clubs. Your father is a very powerful businessman. I really like you a lot, how I wish I can be your girlfriend, your wife, but I am not worthy of you. I can only be your companion and I can only accompany you as and when I come back here from Singapore. You know your father cannot know of our relationship and your father would definitely disapprove of our relationship. You are going to take over your father’s businesses soon. I don’t wish you to screw things up and disobey your father,” I spoke as I caressed his face as my hands move down to his cheeks and his neck.

“George, I want to…” my words were interrupted abruptly as he grabbed me and kissed me in my lips. As we frenched, I seemed to melt into his big strong arms as I felt dominated by his touch. As my eyes opened with a tiny slit, I gazed at the partition.

After two minutes, our lips parted as I tried to catch my breath. As I was breathing hard, his gaze seemed to be looking below my neck. I let out a slight smile as if trying to concede it away from his view. I continued to breathe hard on purpose as I put my hands on his arms.

“I brought the white dress that you bought for me for my birthday last year,” I whispered into his ear.

Even though I could not see his expression, I had an intuition that he was surprised by what I said.

“I want to be the first person to go behind the partition to change my clothes,” I did not know why I said that but I felt that I was partially floating with ecstasy.

I did not wait for him to agree and took the white dress from my bag. I went behind the partition. It was slightly taller than me. There was a tiny slit between the panels as I tried to peer through to see George. I could see that he walked to the sofa seat and sat to face the partition.

As I adjusted the partition, I purposely made the slit between the panels wider as I pushed the two panels outwards. I peered through the slit one more time and I could see George nervously adjusting himself on the seat as he crossed his legs.

As I turned on a small table lamp on a small table beside me, the bright light seemed to glow within the partition and it was in contrast to the dimmer lighting of the rest of the living room. As I slowly removed the buttons of my blouse, I purposely stood next to the slit as I gazed at him. I did not know whether he could see me looking at him or whether he could see what I was doing.

As I let my blouse slip off my shoulders to the ground, I unzipped my pants as I slowly pull it off. With only my bra and panties on, I brushed my hair through my fingers as I walked about inside the partition inspecting the drawings on each panel. I then slowly picked up my white dress and slipped it on. As I adjusted my dress, I turned off the light as I walked out of the partition.

“I……ermmm..I…Do you need anything else?” he stammered as he looked nervous. I smiled at him and planted a kiss and shook my head.

I walked over to the sofa bed as I rested comfortable on the left side.

“I am beginning to appreciate the new add-ons in your living room,” my words had a tint of cheekiness.

THat's the end of the introduction!
Part 2 would come soon......!!! I hope you enjoyed my story and appreciate that you all took your precious time to read it! Thanks!
